VU Introduction Days #StudentAUK for new Students

We invite all first-year students to participate in the Introduction Days #StudentAUK in Vilnius University. During this week, new students are invited to participate in various activities and meetings about studies and life in the university. It is a great opportunity to meet new colleagues and fellow students and to become a part of VU community. Live events and meetings will ensure the festive mood of #StudentAUK Introduction Days for all members of the university.

We know that the start of studies can be a bit challenging, so we present you 8 steps, that every new member of VU community will have to do:

  1. From September 1st to September 31st all international and local students must register at the Identity Management System at id.vu.lt and create students’ e-mail box. When registered, you will get the access to:
  • eStudent (VU information system) where you will be able to see your study results, study plan, write applications and do other actions.
  • office365.vu.lt environment, where you will be able to use e-mail and „Microsoft Office“ software package.
  1. Check the timetables for autumn semester, which you can find in the timetables system or in your academic core (unit) webpage.
  2. Order your Lithuanian student identity card (LSIC or LSP), which gives you various discounts and services.  The card can be ordered on the online LSIC/LSP system at lsp.lt/en.
  3. Like VU pages on social media Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube and join first-year student groups in Facebook.
  4. Get to know the Academic Counsellor in your academic core (unit), who will help you with all the questions regarding your studies: study individualization, timetables, finances and so on.
  5. Plan your career using career management information system www.karjera.ltor career specialists consultations and trainings.
  6. Use other career management opportunities, such as mentorship and Smart internship.
  7. If you encounter psychological or other challenges, use the practical advices offered by the University, as well if you will need any help, refer to these contacts.
