Each year on 1 September, a traditional procession of the Vilnius University community, organised by the VU SR, takes place from the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania to the VU Grand Courtyard.

Each year on 1 September, a traditional procession of the Vilnius University community, organised by the VU SR, takes place from the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania to the VU Grand Courtyard. The vibrant parade brings together more than 4,000 members of the VU community wearing faculty attributes, carrying impressive handmade placards and other themed decorations, and rowdily chanting both traditional and newly created slogans. Come and be part of this fun celebration at the beginning of the academic year!
