We encourage you to use public transport to get around the city. To help you navigate Vilnius, Kaunas, or Šiauliai, use the Trafi mobile app (Google Play | App Store). It provides real-time public transport tracking and route planning. The app also makes it easy to buy and store your tickets, and it works across all major cities in Lithuania.
You can purchase a one-time 90-minute ticket by tapping your bank card on the validator inside the public transport.
Norint įsigyti vienkartinį bilietą tai bus galima padaryti viešajame transporte prilietus savo mokėjimo kortelę prie komposterio.
The e-ticket card can be purchased at the Šiauliai Bus Station and Šarūno g. 2. You can top it up with a certain number of tickets online or at designated locations. Don’t forget to activate your ticket when boarding.
Buying tickets directly from the driver is also possible, but this option is more expensive than using the e-ticket card or the ŠiauliaiBUS app.
Getting a taxi after your arrival in Lithuania might be a great choice. The most convenient way is to download an app – you can get a taxi 24/7!
The most popular taxi apps are Bolt, eTAKSI (Google Play store / App store) and Uber. Please note that while they cover all three cities, it might be useful to have alternatives prepared if you will be studying in Šiauliai, as there may not be convenient offers from drivers. NEOtaxi (app or phone +370 41 454545) and Euro Taxi (phone +370 41 421111) are available.

Get an app, upload your drivers’ licence and drive away! You can pay by the minute or even rent the car for a few days. The main options (available in Vilnius and Kaunas) are: CityBee, Bolt Drive and Spark.
