Guided tour. Saulėtekis Campus of Vilnius University - for Science and the World

When the University was founded, it had only two faculties:Philosophy and Theology. Over the centuries, it grew and eventually expanded to include fifteen faculties and more than ten other departments. Naturally, this expansion led to an ever-increasing need for new university spaces.

One of the most important expansion projects was carried out in the Saulėtekis neighborhood. The student campus, whose development began during the Soviet era, now houses dormitories, research centers, and modern laboratories. During the tour, you’ll explore the Saulėtekis campus, its architecture, history, and present-day life.

Tour duration: up to 1.5 hours.

Meeting place: Saulėtekio av. 2, nearby Vilnius University Sports Center.
